ALL DAY I DREAM ABOUT PASTA
Let me take you on a tour of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Pasta fields forever.
Birthday Tagliolini in Amalfi
Tagliolini with pesto, marinara, basil, lemon baked tomatoes, a plump scoop of burrata. It was my birthday and it was so good I cried. Tears made it even better.
Birthday spread in Amalfi
Just a stunning view.
Stuck-up Rigatoni in Paris
Bright tomato sauce under the shade of the Louvre. The waiter was annoyed by my pronunciation and I snuck water from the bathroom sink.
Baby's First Linguine in Cannes
First meal in Europe! Thick noodles with Bolognese sauce. Tourist trap for sure but I ate it up.
Friendly Pappardelle in Cannes
Classic bolognese sauce. The company is what made this meal really perfect.
Pad Thai in Provo
Made with a heaping amount of cilantro. Part of a short lived "International Food Club"
Chicken Parm in Springville
Fresh crushed marinara sauce with crispy chicken and a big piece of mozzarella cheese. Celebrated roommates graduation.
Stir-fry ramen in Provo
Vegan. Stir-fry (RIP Takeoff). Ramen. Who knew I'd crave it all summer long.
Floral Rigatoni in Rome
Cacio e Pepe Rigatoni with this hopefully edible flower? We ate it anyway.
Penne Rosa in Orem.
Penne Rosa with dried tomatoes, cream, and basil. Made by my best friend who is possessed by pasta.
Lonely Macaroni at home
Macaroni in creamy basil alfredo. This summer I only had one friend and all we did was cook.
Merde in Mont St Michel
I have no idea what this was but it tasted how wet dog smells.
German Pub Penne in Rome
After bushwhacking around Rome all night, the only restaurant that was still open was this German pub. The 9 Euro Vodka Penne pasta was the best vodka sauce I had the whole trip.
Bucatini in Rome
Thickest Cacio e Pepe I've ever had. Followed up with a liquor-less, coffee-less tiramisu. So pudding and biscuit.
Tagliatelle Bolognese in Rome
Will the day of bolognese cease?
Spaghetti in Authentic Rome
This restaurant was down a sketchy alley and had dried ham hocks hanging over it's tables. Nobody in the room spoke English and was shocked we were there. Amazing food.
PTPD Pad Thai in Milan
PTPD - Post Traumatic Pizza Disorder - when you've had so much pizza you never want to look at it again. Thus for inspiring this Pad Thai and possibly making it even better.
Solitary Penne in Milan
Every week I'd insist on eating out alone with a book. This was one of my favorite restaurants called "Papa Francesco's" and Papa Francesco makes the pasta in front of you in a flaming cheese wheel while Elvis blasts over the speakers. It's overwhelming but heart warming.
Penne in Little Italy
Took my siblings to New York for their first time. Enjoyed overpriced Vodka Penne in a tourist trap of a restaurant. Absolutely magical.
Ravioli Bolognese in Sienna
Three gigantic pillows of dough, cheese, and meat. And free wifi.
Alfredo Mezzelune in Rome
What Big Italy doesn't want you to know: alfredo sauce is only practiced in Olive Garden.
